On May 6, 1999, the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons met.
The four-member Board of Pardons committee, consisting of chairman, Lt. Governor Mark Schweiker, Attorney General Mike Fisher, Butler County Prison Warden, Richard Gigliotti, and Louise Williams, the victim representative, met with Goldblum. Following a two-hour meeting with him and 15 minutes of deliberation, the petition was unanimously denied.
